Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering with Honours

PROGRAM INFO

This is a 9-semester dual-degree program designed in collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe (HKA), Germany. The program is aimed at providing students with a solid foundation in mechatronics engineering knowledge and practical skills, as well as proficiency in both English and German communication. The program's faculty consists of experienced professors and industry experts from both UMP and HKA, with German professors traveling to Malaysia each semester to teach advanced courses from semester 5 onward. Students must complete a six-month industry internship and a six-month bachelor's thesis to graduate. Graduates of the program receive two degrees in mechatronics engineering, one from UMP accredited by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), and one from HKA Germany accredited by the state of Baden Wuerttemberg, subject to passing a B1 German test. Graduates have a high employability rate, with many working for German and multinational companies in Malaysia and Germany.
